@NashvilleSymph & @NicoleJanowicz update: Style Fashion Week LA, @milahermanovski @BackstreetBoys @FAULTMagazine, @FIDMSanDiego and more...
March 01, 2012
I'm waiting on images from the amazing Nashville Symphony Fundraiser underwritten by the new TN Nordstrom featuring the stunning designs of Oscar de la Renta and the talent of one of my favorite country music stars, Carrie Underwood, to blog and write about this remarkable evening.
Talk about a night I'll never forget. I have wanted to see a haute couture fashion show since attending FIDM 20 years ago and to see Oscar de la Renta, the height of haute couture, in such a beautiful setting with one of my favorite singers was perfect. It was fun to see Tennessee society wearing his designs too. This city knows how to dress!:)
As soon as I have what I need I will be writing this event up here and elsewhere for your reading and viewing pleasure. Stay tuned. You will not want to miss this fashion write-up. Trust me. I have a feeling I will go back to Tennessee soon because I really love music and it's so close.
On another note, here's what my client, International Celebrity and Wedding Stylist, Nicole Janowicz, has been up to since I last wrote. So much going on!
We both are looking for interns so if you're located in either Los Angeles, CA or Atlanta, GA, please contact me via email which you can find in my bio section.Isn't she beautiful? Nicole just got this headshot done because she has been invited to guest blog for numerous sites and is starting to accept speaking engagements too. As soon as her writing is live, I will share the articles for your reading pleasure.
If you have a style or wedding blog and would like to have her guest blog for you too, or invite her to speak for your group or organization, please let me know in the comments, or shoot me a private email. Again, you can find it in my bio section. Thanks! She's very busy, but does consider all opportunities.
A side note, Nicole will not be participating in the SXSW event as a panelist, but may attend in another capacity. Stay tuned because things change very quickly around here.:)
Nicole is busy styling Designer, Mila Hermanovski's fashion show during Style Fashion Week LA on March 14 which we're excited about. Mila has beautiful 60's inspired designs and this should be a very fashion-forward event.
More details as soon as I receive them.
Look for Nicole during LA Fashion Week! She is attending the Stop Staring fashion show held at the Vibiana Cathedral in Downtown Los Angeles on March 12. The Vibiana is one of my favorite places to see fashion because it's always one of the better venues and is host to many amazing designers.
Here's a peek at last year's event to give you an idea of how fun this is going to be:
If you're a fashion publicist, please send me an invite to your designer's show because Nicole would love to attend if she's available. This is one of the first seasons she's actually able to participate since she won't be traveling with the Backstreet Boys on their World Tour which launches April 1. If you're a fan, click here for more details and to buy tickets: http://backstreetboys.com/events
It was a tough decision to make because she's traveled on their last three world tours, but Nicole felt this was the time to expand her business to wedding styling and dressing other celebrities too. However, she is still styling the guy's entire wardrobe for this world tour and will continue to act as their personal stylist as she's done for the last five years.
They love her and she them. It's easy to see why because she's so easy to get along with and is always cheerful. Plus, she really understands each individual's sense of style and what looks best. She has world-wide connections to fashion designers and fashion houses which is why she's so good at what she does.
It's a real talent to be able to style such unique personalities as the Backstreet Boys into a cohesive band look for all their public appearances and performances which she has mastered since they frequently appear on numerous Best Dressed Lists.
Here's an example of an album cover she did for them. Aren't they sexy?:)
Nicole recently collaborated with famed Wedding Planner, Mindy Weiss, on Backstreet Boy, AJ McLean, and his bride, Rochelle Karidis' Goth-styled wedding at the Beverly Hills Hotel featured in In Touch Magazine.
Knowing the couple as she does, Nicole knew a traditional wedding look wouldn't fit the couple's aesthetic or wedding theme this is why she chose to style them as seen below. Color is the new wedding white!
BACKSTREET BOY AJ MCLEAN
AJ's NEW BRIDE, ROCHELLE MCLEAN. Isn't she stunning in this Vera Wang gown? I think she looks like a rockin' Sleeping Beauty, don't you?
Nicole really understands her clients and what works for each individual personality and style. She has also styled two other Backstreet Boys' Brian Littrell and Howie Dorough's engagement pictures, weddings and receptions which were featured in numerous entertainment magazines.
This was the 10 year anniversary celebration and vow renewal ceremony for Backstreet Boy, Brian Littrell and his lovely wife, Leighanne. Completely different look, don't you agree?:)
As Nicole continues to grow this side of her styling business she seeks to work with other high profile, accomplished and busy men and women who need help creating the perfect cohesive image for their engagement pictures, weddings and receptions. She works nation-wide too.

Fault Magazine has hired Nicole to style a six-page swimwear fashion spread which she is actually working on today and tomorrow. She did a similar spread while working as the Fashion Editor of LA Direct which you can see here:
If you're a student attending FIDM San Diego, you will have the privilege of hearing Nicole speak in person on April 9. Other speaking engagements to be announced as they are confirmed.
Nicole really enjoys styling musicians whether it’s a red carpet event, a world concert tour, an awards show, a music video, album packaging, or wedding, and was asked to style up-and-coming Artist, Sydney Rose, for her promotional package. As soon as we have images to share, I will do so.
You can refer to her website: www.nicolejanowicz.com for a complete overview of who she has worked with and what she has experience in styling for clients. Feel free to contact her directly for styling jobs, and contact me for interviews or collaborative opportunities. Thanks!
That's all for now! Have a great week.
