THE SHORE RESTAURANT AND LOUNGE IN HERMOSA BEACH DETERMINED TO BE OPERATING UNDER CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT WITH MINOR MODIFICATIONS DURING PLANNING COMMISSION HEARING HELD JULY 15, 2008

    Hermosa Beach, CA  The Shore Restaurant and Lounge, located in Hermosa Beach, CA was determined to be operating under guidelines of their Conditional Use Permit by Hermosa Beach Planning Commission during Tuesday's, July 15 hearing and allowed to continue as a high end restaurant with quality live entertainment. The Conditional Use Permit was slightly modified in contrast to others the Planning Commission have reviewed.

Co-Owners, Mike Sribney, Dr. Rainer Beck, and Joe Middler, along with former Hermosa Beach Planning Commissioner Langley Kersenboom, Brix 1601 Owner/Operator, Gene Shook, and others spoke in support of The Shore Restaurant and Lounge. Executive Chef David Linville explained his desire to create a special environment for guests of The Shore and shared his internationally inspired CA comfort cuisine menu during his presentation which many of the Planning Commission expressed having enjoyed when dining at The Shore in the past.

 “We felt all along we were operating within our CUP as were permitted to do when we opened our doors,” says Co-Owner/Manager of The Shore Restaurant and Lounge, Dr. Rainer Beck. “We are an upscale restaurant with quality entertainment the same as when we opened our doors in 2006. We never deviated from that.”           A former Environmental Scientist and the former owner of Harvelle’s Blues Club, Trio By the Bay in Manhattan Beach and others, Dr. Beck is a 30 year veteran of the restaurant and entertainment business. Co-Owner, Jason Baran, previously created soundtracks for Lion’s Gate with Joel C. High and owns 5150 Music Management Company, in addition to managing the Shore Restaurant and Lounge. The Shore Co-Owner/Manager, Mike Sribney, an accomplished 20 year importer/entrepreneur, also currently owns the popular Pedone’s Pizzeria in Hermosa Beach.
