I always enjoy writing a wrap-up of my client, Int'l Celebrity/Wedding Stylist, Nicole Janowicz's styling work because it's invariably so different we're both never bored.
Take this for example. Nicole has been hired to style a pilot for a super secret TV show which has a lot of buzz in certain circles. I can't say much more than that for now, but trust me, if/when this gets picked up it's going to be fascinating and fun to watch!
She recently styled Project Runway Designer, MIla Hermanovski's show at LA Fashion Week. Mila's designs were featured on the front page of Women's Wear Daily, in NY Magazine, LA Fashion Magazine, and Racked LA.

Then of course, there's always all the styling Nicole does of the Backstreet Boys. Imagine styling four unique individuals into a cohesive image for their world tour which launched today, April 20th. This meant preparing wardrobe for six changes per night for each guy and preparing all this for their entire six week tour. I really don't know how she does it, but Nicole's unflappable.
Even when a designer doesn't deliver (which rarely happens, but this last time did), she always manages to make everything run smoothly. She pulls rabbits out of hats and in doing so, meets new people to work with who are even more amazing.
This will be the first world tour she hasn't gone on, but now that her time is free until their return we anticipate lots of other opportunities to pop up. They always do!
She had a lot of fun styling the guys for their appearance at Perez Hilton's recent Mad Hatter birthday party on March 24 which benefited VH1's Save the Music Foundation.
You can still donate till April 27 if you click this link: http://www.crowdrise.com/perezbirthday2012
Help Perez reach his goal!
Here's some pix of some of the guys at the event if you click these links: AJ McLean, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell. And the best one is here: Backstreet Boys. Or even better, check this out.
Nicole styled them in bright jewel colors in keeping with the Mad Hatter theme. Don't you love AJ's hat? And the Christian Louboutin shoes?
I'm including a few videos just because they're fun, but continue on past too because there's a lot more to share above and beyond the styling she does for the Backstreet Boys.
Nicole is very involved in AJ's look for his new album which will launch in June. For a fun look at their image over the years, click here: http://www.ajmclean.com/releases
Nicole also styled AJ McLean & his new wife, Rochelle, for Photographer Tyler Shield's gallery show on May 20 called Mouthful. Here's the invite in case you're in Los Angeles.
Here's a few sneak peeks of some of the images. Mark your calendars because I've seen the rest and they're just as stunning. I love photographic fine art and he's very avant garde. Nicole says this shoot was a lot of fun because he's so creative and AJ & Rochelle are always up for anything she does.
Nicole also styled emerging artist, Sydney Rose, and a swimwear editorial shoot for Fault Magazine, both of which should be available to share this summer.
Continuing to build upon her wedding styling business, Nicole made an appearance at Unveiled Bridal event held at the beautiful Beverly Canon gardens. Here's her booth.
The lucky raffle winner who won a one-hour consultation with Nicole is: Taline Bedrossian. More information coming soon to all the attendees. Despite the wind, it was a huge success and Nicole looks forward to working with bridal couples seeking to create a unique and cohesive look for their engagement, wedding, and reception pictures.
President, Plan A, Tarin Wilson had this to say about Nicole's involvement:
"Int'l Celebrity/Wedding Stylist, Nicole Janowicz, was a delightful and unique addition to Unveiled, Los Angeles’ most stylish and high end bridal event. Styling bridal couples is such a new concept and Nicole’s knowledge, experience and grace puts her at the forefront of this idea. She is a talent to watch.
We look forward to working together again soon."
Stay tuned because good things are in the works in this regard. Nicole is also traveling to Nashville, TN late May and we anticipate her making a few appearances in the Southeast too.
More details to be announced.
She will also be traveling to Wente Vineyards to speak before the Wedding Industry Professional Association (WIPA) in early June.
Keeping in touch with her music roots, Nicole also spoke for FIDM San Diego students discussing the genres of work as a stylist (music, ads, editorial, TV, celebrity) and the 10 keys to being a good assistant. Here's a pic from that day.
Nicole contines to guest blog and you can see some of her recent interviews and articles in her new writing portfolio. One of my favorites is the contribution she made to Music Marketing Master, Michael Brandvold, on the key wardrobe items every musician needs, but if you're getting married soon she has some great articles with tips for you too.
