We met in their warehouse and helped prepare over 14,000 meals for Feed My Starving Children while a DJ pumped music to keep us motivated. Each meal costs only 19 cents to produce so any donation you make really helps fight world hunger! 6 dollars feeds 1 child for 1 month; 35 dollars feeds 1 child for 6 months; 70 dollars feed 1 child for 1 year.
What's cool is you can invite FMSC to your company and help package food too as a volunteer donation. They're based in MN, but drive that huge truck out with supplies and set up wherever you invite them to come. It's a really fun experience too! Saw a lot of my Journey of Faith friends there too. We all received t-shirts, lunch boxes, and free food & drinks from Phenomenex and everyone was super nice.
I bought some of the int'l wares they were selling to raise money. Think I'll give my mom the necklace.:)
